Hi, I’m Elizabeth.

I grew up selling sweetcorn.

Now I help businesses sell themselves—and I’m pretty good at it.

From a farm in Iowa to the French Quarter

I grew up on a small produce farm in rural Iowa—the kind of place where you learn to harvest cantaloupe before you learn to walk, and you’re behind the wheel of a tractor long before you ever learn to drive a car. Hard work wasn’t a novel concept in my family. It was just a Tuesday.

When I was 8 years old, my two older brothers and I started a sweet corn stand on a street corner in town. We ran it every summer. I didn’t know it at the time, but that stand was my first real marketing job, figuring out how to get people to stop, pay attention, and buy. The money we made during those hot summers on the street corner helped put myself and my brothers through college.

I went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa. After graduating, I built a career in nonprofit and healthcare marketing, industries where every message matters, every dollar can change a life, and “good enough” isn’t in anyone’s vocabulary.

These days, I live in New Orleans and work full-time in healthcare marketing while building freelance work on the side—because I genuinely believe there’s a better way to do marketing online, and I want to be the one doing it with you.

Why I do This

Marketing done right helps the right people find the products, services, and causes that can genuinely improve their lives or their communities. That isn’t manipulation. It’s connection.

I fell in love with marketing in a high school business class that I enrolled in fully prepared to hate. What got me was this: marketing is the crossroads where data and creativity collide to actually solve problems for real people. That combination—the analytical and the imaginative, working together—clicked for me in a way nothing else had.

But here’s the thing that really stuck with me: I kept hearing people say marketing is manipulative. That it’s all spin and tricks and false advertising. But I just…don’t believe that. Marketing done right helps the right people find the products, services, and causes that can genuinely improve their lives or their communities. That isn’t manipulation. It’s connection.

I started Elizabeth Dix Marketing because I wanted to do that kind of work—honest, strategic, creative marketing—for businesses that deserve to be found. I’m building this from the ground up, the same way I built that sweet corn stand: one customer at a time, with a lot of hustle, and zero shortcuts.
